Thank you for expressing interest in learning more about the Worship Band at Wildwood Church. The Worship Band is designed to provide Wildwood Church attendees a place to serve using their God-given instrumental talents and to assist in creatively communicating the life-changing message of Christ.
I play! How can I join?
We are excited that you have a desire to use your talents and abilities to serve the Lord here at Wildwood. Whether you play guitar or oboe, we have a place for you! In order to serve on the Worship Band, you will go through a band audition process. This is just to see where you are at musically so we can find the best fit for you here within the Worship Ministry. If you are interested in auditioning, please complete the application form below. If you prefer, you can print off the .pdf application and drop it off at the church office or leave it in the office mailbox. After we receive your application, we will contact you to schedule a meeting. At that meeting, you will schedule your audition and be given the materials needed.
I’ve never auditioned for a band. What’s involved?
For the band audition, you will be asked to have two songs prepared. You may also be asked to play a piece that showcases your personal style and abilities. Your selection for that piece may be chosen from any music style or genre that you feel best showcases your talents. If you have any questions about any of this, please give Pastor Matt a call. The process is painless because we like to keep auditions fun!
