Are you in need of counseling?

We understand that there are times in life where you just need a helping hand. In fact, many people are doing very well in some parts of their life while struggling in others. Now might be the time when you need someone to come alongside and encourage you from the Bible.

There is Hope

We believe that God has given us all we need to know Him and to live in a way that is pleasing to Him. All our difficulties may not evaporate. However, when a person willingly submits to God’s instructions and clings to his promises there is hope and help.

What is our purpose?

Our purpose is to provide Christ-centered counseling for those hurting. Counseling will be consistent with Wildwood Church’s doctrine including the sufficiency of scripture and progressive sanctification.

What is biblical counseling?

Biblical counseling is the process of discerning thoughts and behavior that God wants to change. Through the power of God’s Word, behavior and thinking can change for the benefit of the counselee and the glory of God.

All of our counselors, whether they are pastors or laypersons, go through a rigorous training program in biblical counseling.

Counseling through WBCM is free of charge and is available by appointment.

What you can expect:

Confidentiality Everything will be held in strict confidence except where, in the counselor’s judgment, there is a biblical requirement to involve others (e.g. criminal activity).
Care You will be treated with care and respect by WBCM staff.
Encouragement Our staff will encourage you in your successes and exhort you to discern behavior and thoughts that God wants to change.

What do we expect:

Honesty Counseling is most effective when the counselee and counselor interact in an open and honest
Commitment A commitment to attending counseling sessions and doing weekly homework assignments to encourage lasting change.
Time Change and new habits take time to develop.
