SERVANTHOOD EVANGELISM
"When Jesus walked on this earth, He used a servanthood ministry to
build a bridge over which the message of the kingdom could cross. I
believe one of the most effective means of evangelism for the twenty-first
century will be servanthood evangelism based on ministry. Churches that
are trying it are amazed with the results. Don't be left out!"

Well if Invite-a-Friend Sunday is any indication of building bridges, I would say that outreach is alive and well at Wildwood. We can't begin to thank all you for going way beyond to make this day special to all of our guests. There was a lot of hard work, prayers, preparation, and invitations given to make this a day of Glory to the Lord. Let the celebration continue by asking those friends or family who are still holding out. Your Servanthood Evangelism committee is always looking for new ways to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Please pass along ideas for outreach or better yet come join the committee. Remember my wonderful Wildwood family, you're the team that makes all these ideas work.
As a final word of encouragement relating to the challenge of servanthood, let's
consider the words of Paul in Philippians 2:3 and 5-7. In these verses he
admonishes the Philippians to, "do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit,
but with humility of mind let each of you regard one another as more important
than himself." He further states, "have this attitude in yourself which was also in
Christ Jesus," who willingly, "emptied Himself, taking the form of a bondservant.....".
Think about it. If Jesus became a bond-servant in order to multiply
His witness through intentional acts of kindness, what about us?! Shouldn't we
go and do the same?!
