Thank you for expressing interest in learning more about the Worship Team at Wildwood Church. The Worship Team consists of individually mic’d singers who not only provide backup vocals, but also lead out selected songs, assisting in creatively communicating the life-changing message of Christ.
So, you’re interested?
We are excited that you have a desire to use your talents and abilities to serve the Lord here at Wildwood. In order to serve on the Worship Team, you will go through a vocal audition process. This is just to see where you are at vocally so we can verify that the Worship Team is the best fit for you. If you are interested in auditioning, please complete the application form below. If you prefer, you can print off the .pdf application and drop it off at the church office or leave it in the office mailbox. After we receive your application, we will contact you to schedule a meeting. At that meeting, you will schedule your audition and be given the materials needed.
What? Auditions?! Explain what that involves?
For the vocal audition, you will be asked to have two songs ready to sing. We will accompany you for the first, and ask you to sing the second song a cappella. Also at your audition, you will be asked to sing a new song that you have never heard before. This is to see how quickly you can pick up new material after only hearing it a few times. If you have any questions about any of this, please give Pastor Matt a call. The process is painless because we like to keep auditions fun!
